Created a small collaged butterfly yesterday using tiny pieces of torn paper and gold pen and some mixed pens for the butterfly.

Its been a tough few weeks and if i am honest  ... few years. Still we are struggling to come to terms with Mam going in a home and coping with Dads death but now i do have a little more time for art, although i was finding it hard to get inspired until .... yesterday when after a month's wait my Gelli plate finally arrived. I thought i would get right into it and make a start so I created 3 sheets to begin with (need much more time to play with that beauty) with one of the sheets I decided to create some atc's. So the three you see below are all from just one sheet of gel print i made. Hope you will enjoy them. It feels good to be creating again.

My sad news and a little art

I have been missing a while again as you may or may not have noticed. Sadly we lost my Dad on March 23rd. He died while i was there caring for him and went peacefully (which we feel blessed for) The funeral was Tuesday gone and since then, because of mam being unable to live alone, we have also had the trauma of moving my Mam to a beautiful care home especially for Alzheimers victims. Its been a very sad time for my family. I just wanted to give you that final update and while i am here i will share my one piece of art with you too. This is a brand new Journal I am working on. So far, only the cover is finished. I would like to enter this for the challenge over at Visible Image where I purchased the gorgeous face stamp

Spring Card and Collage Arch

Hi all, my apologies if i have not yet gotten around to your blog. I will, I promise. Things with dad have been pretty bad this week so have been unable to spend much time online. I hope to get some blogging visiting time very soon.
ABOVE ... I created this Mixed Media collage arch while at my parents in between jobs, its a good way to brighten the day when things are getting me down. Dad had the doctor out yesterday so had to put all the bits away quick smart lol.

More creations

I am cramming my free time with creating just now. Oh i still don't get much time to spare but when i do, i create as much as i can. Today was lovely and here are some things i made between yesterday and today

The flower is some transparency that i alcohol inked and then heated with heat gun. still not satisfied with the result but will keep trying. The first  card i made at my mothers while my parents slept last night. The atc is from scraps i had left over from cardmaking. The diamonte madonna piece i was not happy with, but too late now, so even though it did not turn out well i thought i would share the result anyway. The last card is special because my mother chose the image and papers from some i took to her home yesterday, it was lovely to involve her, even though the Alzheimers prevents her from understanding much. It was fun :)

Paper Doll

Had a little play with Dylusions and a paper doll today. what fun it was! Now wishing i knew any challenge sites to join in lol
