The Game and a tough day

Today i wanted to get some more blogging visiting done but I am afraid i have not been able to. Its been a pretty gruelling day for me, trying to cope with dads pain, his district nurse and his Macmillan cancer nurse, dad's reluctance to do what they want him to do and trying to cope with his medication and keeping him from taking too much. Its been a nightmare and that is in addition to the usual stuff i do and an extra visit to the pharmacist. I got home mentally exhausted and so only just realized i should have posted this entry already. My apologies to Sue and my fellow DT ladies for lagging behind here but here is my card for the wonderful challenge which is Name that tune' over at The Game. I chose a simple Christmas card and the idea was to include music. I decided to also take my inspiration from a song title which is 'The Fairy on the Christmas Tree' By Gracie Fields, its such a cute song of long ago. Here is my card. I used inks, decoupage and stickles for this one. Simple but effective. Please join us in the challenge over at The Game   You will have a lot of fun with it i am sure :)

this is beautiful June!!! i love it!!!
you really are going through a lot.
i moved in with my dad when he went on hospice care...just caring for a parent..or both..is difficult. the physical aspect wasn't easy for me..but the emotional part was the worst... it was hard to watch him change. it was hard to not say "i don't want to let you go"..but,i had to support his choice.
i know your dad's condition is different than my dad's...but, caring for a parent is hard. you are doing so much......be good to yourself too,ok?!!
sending love and hugs to you.

A lovely card June. The image reminded me of childhood Christmases long ago but I don't know why. Thinking of you while you deal with all the difficult things family illness brings and hoping you manage to get some rest.
